How to Find Your PPON in 2 Minutes

What is a PPON?

Your PPON (Public Procurement Organisation Number) is your organisation's unique ID on the government's Find a Tender service. Once you've registered your organisation, it takes about two minutes to find.

The PPON arrived with the Procurement Act 2023, which went live in February 2025. Since then, every supplier bidding for UK public contracts has needed to register on the Central Digital Platform (Find a Tender), and the PPON is the number that ties your business to that registration.

We get asked about it all the time, so here's the quick version.

Why your PPON matters

Buyers use your PPON to identify your organisation and pull your core supplier information, so you don't have to retype it for every bid. You'll usually be asked for it when:

  • Completing supplier registration or selection questionnaires

  • Responding to tenders run on e-tendering portals such as Jaggaer, Atamis, Delta or Proactis

  • Sharing your organisation's details with a buyer, framework or bid partner

Missing it can hold up a submission at the worst moment, usually the day before the deadline. Keep it somewhere your whole bid team can find it.

How to find your PPON in Find a Tender

Follow these five steps:

  1. Sign in to your Find a Tender account.

  2. Go to My Account, then Your organisation.

  3. You'll see three boxes in front of you: Registered organisation details, Find a Tender and Supplier information.

  4. Click Registered organisation details.

  5. Under that, you'll see Organisation identification, which shows your PPON code.

That's it. Copy the code into your bid library or company information sheet so it's ready next time.

Can't see it?

If there's no PPON showing, your organisation probably hasn't finished registering. Check these three things:

  • No account yet. Create a GOV.UK One Login, then register your organisation on Find a Tender. Your PPON is issued once registration is complete.

  • Registration started but not finished. Look for confirmation emails, then sign back in and complete any outstanding sections of your organisation profile.

  • Wrong organisation selected. If your login is linked to more than one organisation, make sure you've opened the right one before checking.

Registering takes a little longer than finding the number, so don't leave it until a deadline is looming.
